Refining Your 'WHY' - Where Motivation Comes From

If youre already in business, you know a thing or two about motivation. In fact, you wouldnt be in your own business if it werent for clear motivating factors that pushed you into the decisions you made.

Do you remember what that motivation was? Is it still enough to push you? Has it changed? Most of the time, for most people, they will need to re-motivate themselves in order to reach for building a stronger, more profitable business.

How? You must gain leverage on yourself!

This starts with understanding your WHY. Without a sufficient WHY, new doubts and 'what if's' can overwhelm you. You won't have the leverage you need to deal with it. New excuses for not doing all the things necessary will appear. Youve lost your WHY!

Can you find it again? Yes. You have to. No one can do it for you. It IS your choice to declare your independence from the thinking that can hold you back. You just need to stay aware of that fact, every day!

For many, a common WHY is related to spending more time with their family. Will one WHY be enough? Maybe but its good to make a list. What other WHY's can you think of?

Make it an important goal to do this. Surprise yourself with how many 'why's' you CAN come up with. Don't hold back.

Write down EVERY reason you can think of that can provide an answer to WHY you are in this business, and why it is important to get serious about making it grow and become more profitable. This will form the bedrock from which you will succeed when others, sadly, will not.
