Well it looks like after over a month worth of fighting between Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon that we have a cease-fire agreement from the United Nations and to Dr. Rices credit a 15-0 vote at the United Nations Security Council. Impressive would be the word of the day. Apparently Condoleezza Rice and The Bush Administration should be congratulated for this political victory. How they got everyone to agree to it is amazing indeed and this will go down in history as one of the greatest achievements of our time. Even the International Terrorist Hezbollah Murderers and their Leader agreed to the cease-fire, most likely because they are losing anyway and about out of business. Lebanon Government agreed too. Very interesting and the Israeli Leader indicated he would indeed recommend that his government sign the agreement for a cease-fire as well. Even though in the grand scheme of things this war was a small one, it did have the potential of developing into a huge Middle Eastern Conflict involving a much bigger war with Syria and Iran. Of course this still could happen as Hezbollah has never kept their word and now that the United Nations is involved if Iran or Syria causes an issue they will be fighting the whole world and not just Israel. Consider all this in 2006. |
